Fees & Funding
At Social Beings Speech Pathology, we believe that understanding your supports should always feel simple and transparent.
Our fees are aligned with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements for Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living and reflect the time, expertise, and collaboration involved in every session.
We work with a range of funding pathways — including the NDIS, Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans, and private health funds — and we’ll help you find the approach that best fits your situation.
Every client receives a detailed quote before services begin, outlining all costs and inclusions such as travel, preparation, and report writing (where required).
Our goal is to make sure you know exactly what to expect — and that your supports remain focused on what matters most: communication, connection, and independence.
Funding Pathways
NDIS:
We provide services to adults aged 18+ who are no longer at school and who have NDIS funding under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living. We can work with self-managed or plan-managed participants.
Medicare:
If your GP has created a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan, you may be eligible for rebates for up to five sessions per calendar year.
Private Health:
Many private health funds offer rebates for speech pathology services — check with your provider to see what’s available.
Session Fees
Our fees are based on the NDIS hourly rate for speech pathology services and reflect the time and preparation required for each session.
This includes:
Individual therapy sessions (45 minutes)
Paired or group peer-learning sessions (billed at reduced shared rates)
Non-face-to-face work such as progress notes, collaboration with your team, and resource development
Travel time for mobile services, charged in line with NDIS guidelines
We’ll always discuss your individual plan and provide a clear estimate before your first session.
How Billing Works
Invoices are issued weekly or fortnightly
We accept payment through the direct bank transfer or Stripe.
Travel and report-writing appear as separate line items where applicable.
If you have questions about funding, we’re happy to talk through your options before you start.
